Tiger maple and flame cherry coffee table
Still available in New Hampshire.
I was flipping through an old copy of Archectural Digest when I saw a picture of an antique dining table. The caption said it was made in Californina in the late 1700's using ebony for the frame and I don't know what for the inside panel, but it was about the same color as I have here. I really liked the idea but didn't want to make a dining table, so I did the next best thing, a coffe table. Instead of ebony I used flame cherry and for the center panel I used tiger maple.
